RSS

Using an RSS reader something that I've never really been all that fond of. I've used the ones built into Internet Explorer and Firefox before, but I never really get much use out of them. I find that by simply bookmarking the page I get the same information, although it usually includes advertisements.

In a couple of cases, I've found that the RSS feed is actually a little bland and makes me wish I was looking at the full page for the rest of the content. While I've never used the Bloglines method before, it does look to solve that problem (or at least it looks like it's trying to address it). It will be interesting to play around with it a bit and see if it's hidden features are truly of any use for me.

An interesting exercise to say the least.
